Ciudad Máquina No.9

Inspired by a series of poems I titled 'The Parable', each series of my works carries a unique background. In mid-2022, feeling overwhelmed by the perception of society as an immense machinery, and there I was, walking through streets just as one would walk through an industrial city, except in my head, I wasn't in a machine city that produced anything good or useful. That's where 'Machine City' was born. In this series, I reflect the machinery that Adam and Eve built in my parable, a network of structures both oppressive and liberating, capturing the duality of technology and human nature. I explore this complex interaction with dynamic lines and meticulous details in each ink drawing on paper. I invite viewers to ponder our relationship with both the built and natural environments. Furthermore, the entire series has its own sound space. I compose works to intensify the visual and emotional experience of the series, offering a synergistic dialogue between the auditory and visual senses that enriches the viewer's interpretation, a synesthetic experience.

Inspirada por una serie de poemas que titulé 'La Parábola', cada una de mis obras lleva consigo un trasfondo único. A mediados de 2022, me sentí abrumado por la percepción de una sociedad que parecía una inmensa maquinaria, y yo en medio; caminando por calles igual que como se camina dentro de una ciudad industrial, solo que en mi cabeza, no estaba en una ciudad máquina que producía nada bueno, ni útil. Ahí fue donde nació 'Ciudad Máquina'. En esta serie yo reflejo la maquinaria que Adán y Eva construyeron en mi parábola, un entramado de estructuras tanto opresivas como liberadoras que capturan la dualidad de la tecnología y la naturaleza humana. Exploro esta interacción compleja con líneas dinámicas y detalles meticulosos en cada dibujo en tinta sobre papel. Invito a los espectadores a reflexionar sobre nuestra relación con el entorno construido y el natural. Además, toda la serie tiene su espacio sonoro. Obras que yo compongo para intensificar la experiencia visual y emocional de la serie, creando un diálogo sinérgico entre los sentidos auditivos y visuales que enriquece la interpretación de cada espectador, una experiencia sinestésica.
